Computer-based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics
CASPer® (Computer-based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics) is one of the most important elements of your medical school admissions profile in participating medical schools in Canada and the United States. Our medical physicians are expert CASPer® evaluators, specifically trained to teach you everything you need to know in order to succeed on your CASPer® test. Our evidence-based CASPer® simulations, CASPer® training programs and guidance will give you the confidence you need to tackle your CASPer® test.
The CASPer® Strategy session is a foundational session to teach you the ins and outs of the CASPer® format. The CASPer® Strategy Session is led by an experienced physician with first-hand experience in both participating in and evaluating CASPer®. CASPer® scenarios are typically categorized to test your critical thinking, ethical approach, personal experiences and creativity.
CASPer® was initially designed at McMaster Michael de Groote School of Medicine as an alternative online method of assessment to evaluate medical candidates in real time. By increasing the medical admissions committee’s scope of candidate assessment, a high CASPer® score is essential at securing a medical school interview.
